3SM1002 is a new SOM series based on Texas Instruments AM335x Sitara application processor. The integrated Cortex-A8 core operating at up to 720Mhz clock frequencies along with support to most common protocols for industrial automation like EtherCAT, PROFIBUS, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, make it ideal for industrial applications. Elettronica GF AM335x SOM modules are designed to reduce time to market and carrier board BOM cost. Despite being very small, all commonly required peripherals are already integrated on the module, such as: – up to 512 MB DDR3 RAM memory – 10/100/1000 LAN connectivity – parallel video output – SDIO,I2C and SPI bus – USB OTG port – JTAG debug connector The single power supply input greatly simplifies carrier board design and industrialization. AM335x modules support Linux operating systems.
